Recorder Features

Rich, synchronized recording. Record screen video, camera video and audio of the user, Web page changes, mouse clicks, keyboard entry, onscreen text and markers entered through one or multiple Remote Viewers. All recorded information is automatically synchronized by Rich Recording Technology.

Portable and flexible. Install Recorder on a laptop or onsite in your user’s natural environment. Move it from system to system to record in different locations.

One-click or customized recording. Click the Start button to record with the default settings. Or, create and save a configuration file with customized settings, including:

What is recorded
Whether mouse clicks and cursor movement are highlighted
When and how the recording should start and stop: manually, time-based, event-based, duration-based, or remotely using Remote Viewer
How visible Recorder is while recording

Test recording option. Use this option to test your recording settings prior to beginning an actual recording.

Audio and video preview. Recorder automatically scans the computer system for camera and microphone devices. Use the live preview of camera video and audio to easily make adjustments.

Remote Viewer Features

Collaboratively observe and log sessions live from across the hall or across the country with streaming technology.

Network connection. Connect Remote Viewer to Recorder via a LAN/WAN (including wireless), a Virtual Private Network (VPN), or a broadband connection.

Remote observation. One or multiple Remote Viewer stations can simultaneously connect to Recorder. Observers can view screen video, user video (picture in picture), and audio streams, automatically synchronized. User video (PIP) can be moved and resized.

Customized logging system. Anyone at a Remote Viewer station can add markers, complete with text notes, which are communicated to Recorder, saved, and synchronized with the recording.

Immediate playback. Record a digital video file (WMV) of content displayed in Remote Viewer to immediately playback and share the recording session.

Manager Analysis Features

Synchronized viewing. Review synchronized screen and camera (user) video. Select any event, and the camera and screen recordings instantly move to when the event occurred.

Flexible searching. Search only for events of interest or for text that appeared onscreen with a powerful natural language editor (i.e., find every time the user clicked on a specific Web page).

Instant calculation. Quickly calculate metrics such as time on task with automatic time-stamping of events and a dynamic built-in calculator.

Navigable results. Visualize search results in a time-stamped list view or interactive graph format, synchronized with the video. Export the results to a comma-delimited file for import into other applications.

Text and audio annotation. Add text or audio notes to markers or isolated sections of the recording.

Manager Presentation Features

Create and edit. Create and annotate video clips with text and/or audio narration. Create and edit title clips with optional audio narration. Assemble highlight videos with an easy-to-use editing interface.

Organize. Add, arrange, and edit title and video clips to the Storyboard.

Customize Camera PIP. Include camera video PIP over the screen video, and adjust its position, size, and opacity on a clip-by-clip basis or for the entire video.

Produce and share. Produce your highlight video in either an industry-standard AVI or Windows Media Video (WMV) format for easy sharing. The Pack and Show option ensures that your AVI highlight video will play on any system.
